Wait, isn’t it Ready-Aim-Fire? Or at least Ready-Fire-Aim?
Yup, but all those websites were taken.
But I like this website name – it evokes how I feel about my early retirement/financial independence journey – it hasn’t been perfect, it hasn’t been straightforward, and I sure as heck haven’t done everything I need to do in the right order. So if I can’t get it all together in the right order, then Fire Ready Aim seems highly appropriate.
Plus, I usually think too much. Analysis Paralysis.
So I started a blog in a crowded field of other financial independence blogs. Good thinking. There’s the Fire.
But I’m Ready to get out of the rat race. I don’t want to just see my kids before 7:30 in the morning, and after 5:00 in the afternoon.
I’m a little disorganized, so I’ll Aim as we go along.
A little more about me?
Dad of three. Husband. Data guy. Better than average racquetballer. Get the depression a little from time to time. Used to sing in choirs. Hack at the guitar. I bike to work in 40 degree Florida winters (that one day) in shorts and a t-shirt and gloves. Still play with LEGOs. I’ve spent much more time in my attic that you’ve spent in yours. Still have no idea what I want to do when I grow up.
